How to Put the Ghost 2 Immobiliser into Service Mode

 

Service Mode allows the vehicle to be used without putting in the Ghost 2 sequence. It is designed, as the name suggests, for car servicing or similar.

Here you may not feel comfortable giving your personal sequence combination to a stranger who is working on your car. Service Mode gives you the option to hand over the car without going into detail about the security that is fitted.

The Ghost 2 Immobiliser is temporarily deactivated under certain, limited conditions.

The vehicle is still protected, because if the vehicle is driven over 30mph for more than 15 minutes, this automatically takes the Ghost out of Service Mode. In this instance the next time the vehicle is started it will need the unique code to be able to drive.

For this reason it is important to establish, when handing the vehicle over to a garage, what conditions a test drive might take. It is unlikely that any garage would need to drive faster than 30mph, but it is worth asking the question.

When the car is returned, simply put in your personal code, to delete Service Mode, and return to using the Ghost as normal.

Ghost 2 Service Mode Step-by-Step Guide

For: Audi Cupra Seat Mecedes Vauxhall

1. Open the car and put in your code as usual,
2. Wait for the 2 flashes,
3. Foot hard on Accelerator + Drivers Window Up 5 times.

For: Range Rover Sport 2019

1. Open the car and put in your code as usual,
2. Wait for the 2 flashes,
3. High Beam Flash (pull towards you) + Cruise Control Cancel Button 5 times.

Ghost Service Mode varies between different makes and model of car. Above is shown just two common variations. When we handover your vehicle after installation, the information for your car will be explained.

An alternative to Service Mode is purchasing an optional tag. Here the car will start so long as the unique Bluetooth tag is in range.
